OPINION: From Pew to Polls: Cohesion, Capture, and the Politicization of Faith

In the early days of my extended career after college, I debated my coworker on the religious origins of my High School, which held a populous hold on the makeup of our small town. My coworker was adamant that my school had Catholic origins, whereas I argued the basis was of Christian origin. Knowledge once again pressed against the unfortunate conformity of unaware dissension. The origins were each of themselves united in the evolution of religious practices, however marketed as two different pathways, with a causation of division that is both uneducated and undeserved.

The real fundamental origins of religious conformity could be analyzed on a basis of human evolution with eventual spillover into propaganda-based rule and social hierarchy. Of course, education and analysis, with a desire to spread conceptual awareness, are the best course of action to confront the degradation of our spiritual journeys into the unconscious world, provided for a healthy and progressive evolution of our understanding of higher power.

These obstacles have become shackles in modern times, and the current Christian Nationalist movement has spearheaded the American and Global political and economic landscape. This opinion-based analytical thesis on the evolution of our understanding of higher power and thought examines the historical truths of our evolution and how religious order has changed alongside our existence.
